The Coalition for Research in Women's Health

The Coalition for Research in Women's Health is a network supporting communication and collaboration among women's health researchers and fostering women's health scholarship. The Coalition is based primarily at the University of Toronto and includes more than 100 members at the University and its affiliated institutes. The Coalition was initiated by the Women's College Research Institute (WCRI) as a catalyst for women's health research in our community.

Coalition Goals

The Coalition for Research in Women's Health aims to:

Enable information sharing among women's health researchers at the University of Toronto and beyond
Break down the research silos often created by disciplines to facilitate new research partnerships
Offer a forum for students to find mentors and to connect with one another and with the resources provided by the Women's College Research Institute (WCRI)
Create new momentum in women's health research by working to establish positions for women's health researchers regardless of site

The functions of the Coalition for Research in Women's Health are directed by committees of its members with administrative support from the Knowledge Exchange Office of the WCRI. Learn more about these committees.

Benefits of Coalition Membership

The opportunity to meet like-minded colleagues from different departments and faculties to learn about their work and to connect with potential collaborators (through Coalition events, The Directory of Women's Health Researchers at the University of Toronto, etc)
Resources for students supervised by Coalition members including access to student scholarships at the University of Toronto and funding for undergraduate summer students; networking events like Graduate Student Research Day will also continue
The ability to circulate information about women's health seminars and events organized by members through the Coalition network
Opportunities to disseminate information about the member's work via www.crwh.org
Consultation on knowledge exchange issues related to member projects from the Knowledge Exchange Office of the WCRI
Potential partnership with the Women's College Research Institute to help support seminars and other events
Potential access to Women's College Research Institute resources (meeting rooms, etc)
